Tonic update!- The string section of Mezzotonic (Matt & Adam) are now official endorsees of Skylark Guitars.
Skylark Guitars are a U.K based company who offer a wide and refreshing range of acoustic and electric guitars.
Both Matt and Adam will be playing a wide range of the acoustic and electric guitars in promotioal videos for the skylark site, infact the first video that will feature Matt and Adam playing skylark Guitars will be recorded on the 12th Feb, for a radio show called Studio-20 where the band will perform a live acoustic track.
Matt and Adam are also in talks with Skylark over a custom Build of Bass and Electric Guitars for full live use, Skylark Guitars have also told Adam that they hope to build a guitar so good that he will never play his fender again.
Matt and Adam are both very pleased to be involved with such a fabulous company and they both look forward to working with Skylark and all future projects.

The Mezzo boys are proud to say that they are headlining this years PARKLIVE 2011, which takes place at the Arena, Telford on SATURDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER. The event is between 1pm - 7pm, and Mezzotonic will be taking to stage around 5:30pm.
Last years event attracted 6,000 music lovers, and this year it is set to be even bigger!!

Exciting Times!! After a months break, the Mezzo finally played a couple of shows this week. The Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton, and then onto the HMV Institute in Birmingham.
We also have other upcoming shows throughout June. A special acoustic session at the Actress & Bishop, Birmingham on 21st, Then we will be supporting the HOT RED CHILLI PEPPERS at the world famous Robin 2 club in Bilston.
Then its on to July where we will be performing on one of "Emma Scott Presents" nights (Kerrang Radio). Details to follow.
Although I mentioned we took a whole month off, we were far from unproductive!! We purchased some new recording gear for the new Mezz studios, and give it a thorough testing!! Over the coming months, we will be back in the studio to record new tracks, so keep your ears open for that!!

Wow, what a weekend. Took a trip up to Manchester to perform at student hangout 'The Orange Grove'. Great venue, and gave us a chance to perform 1.5 hrs of funk rock. However, this was a mere warmup for Saturdays trip to Colchester, where we performed to a packed house at 'Tin Pan Alley'. The crowd was amazing, the place felt electric, and we received a warm welcome. We will certainly be going back for a repeat performance. Just a shame its a four hour drive away!!

Gigs are flying in thick and fast as we are spending 2011 performing and promoting our debut EP. We will be playing gigs all over the Midlands (And Further), However we will be returning to Wolverhampton in July, as we have just been confirmed to perform at one of Emma Scott's (of Kerrang radio fame) 'presents' nights at the Slade Rooms.

It was a welcome change to get back in the studio last night to record individual parts to our new track 'Transformin'. It was sounding great as vocals and backing were added, along with guitar and overdubs.
The track is really starting to fill out, and will soon be ready for mixdown and production.

The first three months of 2011 are gonna be real busy for us funk rockers. Not only have the gigs been fllying in thick and fast, but we have been hitting the rehearsal rooms hard!! We have been writing new tracks to showcase at our February and March gigs, so cant wait to get them in the set and feel the response. Also, we managed to cram in some studio time too, to record new funk rap track 'Transformin', and we will be putting the finishing touches to the song, when we manage to get a day off haha!
